Villa in Mykonos

Mykonos is a tiny little island in Greece that has a modest population of about ten thousand people. Though small in area, the island is a popular tourist destination thanks to its fabulous beaches and vibrant night life. Much frequented by cruise ships and jet-setters, Mykonos indulges its visitors with luxury destinations that are blessed with fairy tale views of the seas. One such particularly fascinating spot is the Mina One villa located in the southwest part of the island. Designed in traditional all-white Mediterranean style and offering ‘Santorini-like’ views, the place just blows your mind. Don’t blame us if you are feeling a little droopy after seeing the images below.

Have you made up your mind about where to relax here? In those sofas under the shade…? The pebble covered infinity pool…? Or would you rather prefer that Jacuzzi…?

Google Russia Offices

You haven’t seen them all yet. Google’s Russia Offices in St. Petersburg and Moscow, both designed by Swiss firm, Camenzind Evolution, are as vibrant and exotic as the unique cities they are located in. Similar to AOL’s offices and Pixar’s offices, both of which we have featured here, Google’s spaces include meeting dens that foster employee interaction and game rooms for healthy breaks and recreation time.

Creative Offices

We thought twice before filing this under Home Office Designs but decided to go ahead, because we believe if you are seeking inspiration before designing your home office, you should definitely take a look at these. This is how the Pros do it. It is not uncommon for corporate giants to woo their employees by giving them designer workplaces. Guessing by these images, who wouldn’t be enticed?

1.Red Bull

If your company produces an energy drink, your offices better show it. Check out Red Bull’s office designed by Jump Studios.

2.Pixar

Do you think people can dream up movies like Finding Nemo, Incredibles, Wall-E in regular office cubicles? No Chance!

The Pixar office shown above is designed by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson.

3. Google

Quite honestly, none of us here would want to work at Google. With hammock workspaces, recliners (and relaxing aquariums to stare at while you are in them), massage parlours, personalised cabins, slide-downs between floors, we are pretty much sure of getting carried away and having ourselves fired!

Office designed by Camenzind Evolutionhas.

4.Three Rings Design

Three Rings Design opted for old world charm over the ultra-modern style. This office was designed by Because We Can.

5.TBWA

TBWA is a global advertising company working with Apple and Adidas and they used Klein Dytham‘s services to convert an amusement complex to a rather amusing office.

Apple’s Spaceship Inspired Future Cupertino Offices

Earlier this week, Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced plans for a spaceship-like new office campus in Cupertino, California that would hold up to 12,000 Apple employees and completely revamp the way the company operates.

Jobs presented the Cupertino City Council with plans for the four-story, eco-friendly offices reportedly designed by world-renowned Norman Foster Architects. The new offices were designed with green technology and renewable energy in mind, and will operate utilizing Apple’s natural gas facility and an electricity grid as back-up. Parking would be conveniently located below the building.

Details of the campus are sketchy at best and the following screen captures from the original presentation are the only known available images of this project.

Hit the play button below to hear about the project in Jobs’ own words.
